Remuda Ranch Treatment Programs provides inpatient and residential care to women and girls. Since 1990, we have treated more than 10,000 patients at our programs in Arizona and Virginia. Our age-appropriate programs offer care to girls as young as eight and ensure that each one receives treatment from professionals specializing in her specific age group. The length of stay is highly flexible and dictated by each patient’s individual needs. Some stay for 30 days, while those with a higher acuity remain in treatment for 45-60 days. All patients receive an individualized treatment plan implemented by a team of eating disorder professionals. This team includes a psychiatric and primary care provider, a registered dietitian, a licensed master's or doctoral-level therapist, a psychologist and registered nurses. In addition to the eating disorder, the team treats comorbid issues such as self-injury, anxiety, alcohol addiction or substance use. All treatment takes place in peaceful, ranch-like settings far from the challenges of everyday life. This distance from home helps each patient focus exclusively on getting well and allows the family a time to distress while the family member is receiving the care she needs. Along with individual and group sessions, patients engage in innovative therapies such as equine, art, body image and challenge course. The family is highly involved in the treatment process, primarily through therapeutic phone calls. Also, family members come to Remuda Ranch halfway through treatment for family week. This is a time of education and intensive therapy designed to foster understanding and strengthen communication between the patient and her family. In addition to our intensive programs, we offer a 30-day residential program for emotional eating. Located in Chandler, Arizona and Bowling Green, Virginia, this program treats women and girls with obesity, compulsive overeating and binge eating disorder. Remuda Ranch also offers a residential OCD Program in Arizona. We treat women struggling with obsessive compulsive disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder and body dysmorphic disorder. The average length of stay is 30 days. For additional information please visit www.remudaranch.com
